It is with profound sadness that the editorial team of Materiale Plastice announces the passing of Prof. Dr. Ing. Sorin Ioan Rosca, Chairman of the Chemistry Society of Romania and one of the foundational figures of Romanian polymer chemistry.
Prof. Rosca spent his career at the University Politehnica of Bucharest, where he led the Department of Polymer Chemistry and supervised generations of graduate students. He was a long-time editorial advisor of Materiale Plastice and a regular contributor of peer-review reports.
