About Materiale Plastice
Overview & History
Materiale Plastice (abbreviated Mater. Plast.) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal founded in 1964 by the Revista de Chimie SRL, Bucharest, Romania. The first issue appeared in March 1964 and the journal has published quarterly continuously since then.
Originally established as a print journal serving the European materials science community, Materiale Plastice has evolved into a fully Open Access digital platform reaching a global audience of researchers, engineers, and industry professionals.
The journal publishes original scientific papers and guest reviews on topics of great interest in polymer science, plastics engineering, and related applied research. We are particularly committed to publishing research that addresses global challenges such as polymer sustainability, recycling technologies, and biodegradable alternatives.
