B. Guidelines for Editors

- Editors must cooperate with authors and reviewers in the publishing process.

C. Guidelines for Reviewers
Basic principles to which peer reviewers should adhere — peer reviewers should:
- Only agree to review papers for which they have the subject expertise required to carry out a proper assessment and which they can assess in a timely manner.
- Respect the confidentiality of peer review and not reveal any details of a paper or its review, during or after the peer-review process, beyond those released by the journal.
- Not use information obtained during the peer-review process for their own or any other person's or organization's advantage, or to disadvantage or discredit others.
- Declare all potential conflicting interests, seeking advice from the journal if they are unsure whether something constitutes a relevant interest.
- Not allow their reviews to be influenced by the origins of a paper, by the nationality, religious or political beliefs, gender or other characteristics of the authors, or by commercial considerations.
- Be objective and constructive in their reviews, refraining from being hostile or inflammatory and from making libelous or derogatory personal comments.
- Acknowledge that peer review is largely a reciprocal endeavor and undertake to carry out their fair share of reviewing in a timely manner.
- Provide journals with personal and professional information that is accurate and a true representation of their expertise.
- Recognize that impersonation of another individual during the review process is considered serious misconduct.

D. Preprint Policy
Materiale Plastice promotes posted preprints on not-for-profit preprint servers such as ChemRxiv, bioRxiv, arXiv, etc.
Preprints are defined as the author's version of a manuscript that has not been peer-reviewed at a journal, deposited on a public server. Our journal will consider for review previously available preprints.
Authors should reveal the details of the preprint, such as DOI and licensing terms, upon submission of the manuscript. Once the manuscript is accepted, you acknowledge that the article has been accepted for publication as follows: “This article has been accepted for publication in Materiale Plastice”.
After the publication of the preprint manuscript the author is compelled to link the preprint record with the publication reference, the DOI and the URL link to the published version, e.g.: “This is an original manuscript of an article published in Materiale Plastice on (date of publication), available online: https://doi.org/10.37358/(ArticleDOI).”
