For Reviewers
Welcome, Reviewers
Peer reviewers are the backbone of scholarly publishing. Materiale Plastice thanks every reviewer who agrees to assess a manuscript. This page is the role-oriented hub for current and prospective reviewers.
Looking for the full review workflow (10 steps)?
See Peer Review Process →
Review Model
Materiale Plastice uses single-blind peer review: the authors do not know who the reviewers are. Reviewers receive the manuscript along with author identifying information and assess the work on:
- Originality and novelty — does the work meaningfully advance the field?
- Soundness of methodology — are the materials, methods, and analysis appropriate and reproducible?
- Validity of results and conclusions — are the conclusions supported by the data?
- Clarity and structure — is the manuscript well-written and well-organized?
- Fit for journal scope — is the topic within polymer / plastics / elastomers / composites research?
How To Become a Reviewer
We welcome qualified researchers to join our reviewer pool. To express interest, send the following to editorial@revmaterialeplastice.ro:
- A short CV (max 2 pages) listing your subject expertise.
- Your ORCID iD.
- 2–5 keywords describing your areas of expertise.
- Optionally: your Web of Science ResearcherID or Scopus Author ID.
Early-career researchers are encouraged to apply via the Early Career Editorial Board recruitment.
Review Checklist
When you accept a review invitation you will receive a structured review form. Please confirm before starting:
- You have the subject expertise required to assess this manuscript.
- You have no conflict of interest with the authors or their institutions. Declare any potential conflict to the Editor.
- You can return the review within the requested deadline (typically 3 weeks).
- You will keep the manuscript and review process confidential.
Your review should produce one of three recommendations:
- Accept as is — the manuscript is ready for publication.
- Revisions required — minor or major changes needed before acceptance.
- Reject — the manuscript is not suitable for publication in this journal.
